Accounting that speaks OHADA

A school in an OHADA country should not have to translate its books into a plan comptable by hand. With the Finance module, iEasySR keeps them on the francophone chart directly, and produces management-grade OHADA statements from the same double-entry ledger every other school uses.

One click loads the plan comptable

On Finance then Accounts, click Load SYSCOHADA (OHADA) chart, right beside the standard starter chart. It seeds accounts with French names and OHADA codes (401 fournisseurs, 411 clients, 521 banques, 571 caisse, 601 achats, 7061 frais de scolarite, and so on), each tagged with its OHADA class from 1 to 8. Like the starter chart it only adds codes you do not already have, so it is safe to click on an existing chart. Every account keeps an English twin, so the whole-chart language switch still works: only the display names swap, the OHADA codes stay put.

Loading it moves the school onto the SYSCOHADA standard. Your journals, the balance generale, and the automatic posting of fees, payroll and vendor bills all keep working, now on the OHADA codes.

Your everyday activity posts to the right accounts

This is the quiet part that saves the day-to-day work. Because the chart is tagged by OHADA class, an ordinary fee collection, a pay run or a vendor bill lands on the correct uniform-act account without anyone choosing it. You keep collecting and paying as you always have, and the accrual, double-entry books build themselves underneath, in the shape a francophone accountant expects.

The OHADA statements

Once on the SYSCOHADA standard, the accounts page shows Download OHADA statements. Pick the period with a From and To date range (it defaults to the current session) and download a bilingual, French-first PDF with:

• a Compte de resultat carrying the full soldes intermediaires de gestion cascade: marge commerciale, then valeur ajoutee, then excedent brut d'exploitation (EBE), then the resultats (exploitation, financier and the class-8 hors activites ordinaires), down to the resultat net;
• a Bilan (actif and passif), balanced through the resultat net;
• a TAFIRE (tableau financier des ressources et des emplois), whose ressources minus emplois reconciles to the change in cash;
• notes annexes: a fixed-assets note (brut, amortissements, net) and creances and dettes notes.

Honest about what it is

These are management-grade statements, built from your ledger and the OHADA class tags. The Bilan balances cleanly when the whole chart is the OHADA plan, and mixing in untagged custom accounts can throw it off, so keep the chart consistent. Before any official filing, have a qualified expert-comptable review both the chart and the statements. And if you ever need to step back, Use standard statements returns you to the default income statement and balance sheet at any time.

Why it matters

Finance software that only knows one accounting tradition quietly forces francophone schools into a mismatch: the right numbers in the wrong shape. iEasySR treats the plan comptable as a first-class option, wired through posting, statements and language, so an OHADA-country school can run its books the way its accountant, its board and its regulator all read them.
