Getting started in a weekend
A calm, top-to-bottom path to a working school: foundation, students, classes and the first bills, all in a weekend.
Setting up a new school can feel like a mountain. It is really just a short list, worked top to bottom. iEasySR follows a natural order, and once the foundation exists everything else clicks into place.
Lay the foundation
Do this part once. Nothing else works until it exists.
- Create the school (Schools then New): name, code, logo and the head's signature.
- Add the academic year and its terms with real dates, and mark the current term.
- Add subjects, choosing continuous-assessment or simple, and whether each counts to the aggregate.
- Create classes and attach the subject set to each.
- Create one assessment system, its grade bands and auto-remarks, and attach it to the year.
- Set core preferences: currency, address and the basics.
Bring in students
Now fill the classes. You can admit pupils online through an admissions form or import a spreadsheet, then place each child in a class. Because rosters build themselves per class and term, students appear exactly where you expect them.
Issue the first bills
With classes populated, money follows naturally. In Fees, pick a class and term, add fee items from your catalogue, then Save all and Issue all to create every pupil's bill at once. Carried-forward balances come along automatically, so each bill shows the true amount owed from day one. Optional services such as bus or canteen, and any scholarships you have defined, apply on their own.
A tip that saves hours
Press Ctrl/Cmd + K at any time to jump straight to a feature by name instead of hunting through the sidebar. And remember the pricing: the core of iEasySR is free, and you only pay per report card you generate. Everything in this weekend of setup is included.
By Monday you have a school that can score pupils, keep a register and collect fees, all in one place.
