Meet iAlex, your in-app assistant

iAlex is the little helper in the corner of iEasySR. It has two modes, toggled from the Help and Insights switch in its header.

Help mode

In Help mode, iAlex searches a curated FAQ for the closest match to your question and points you to the right page or feature. It is deliberately focused: it knows about iEasySR and nothing outside it, and it never sees your data. It only reads the words you type into the chat.

iAlex also notices which page you are on when you open it. On the scores page it suggests score questions; on reports, report questions; on payments, payment questions. It is the same FAQ, just sorted so the most relevant chips appear first. Type any question to override the suggestions.

Insights mode

Switch to Insights and iAlex answers live questions about your own school with real numbers. It covers over 30 questions across a few groups:

• Students & school: how many students, the boys and girls split, classes, subjects, team size, average class size, which class is largest, report cards generated, and how many pupils came from online applications.
• Admissions & requests: pending admission applications and pending parent absence requests.
• Fees (with fee access): collected today and this term, billed, outstanding, collection rate, fully paid pupils, credit held and top defaulters.
• Finance (with the Finance module): net income, total income, biggest expense and cash position.
• Staff (with the time clock): who is clocked in now, clock-ins today or yesterday, pending leave and any draft pay run.

Safe by design

Every Insights answer is scoped to your current school and to your access level. iAlex never runs generated database queries: it picks from a fixed set of hand-written, tenant-scoped questions, and fee, finance and staff questions only appear if you have that access.

iAlex remembers which mode you last used, so it opens where you left it. Type a question in your own words in either mode, and it will find the closest match.
