How to set up a school in iEasySR, from creating your account to printing the first report card. Each step links to where you do it in the app.
Create your account and school
iEasySR is free to use: you create an account, set up your school, and only pay per report card you generate. No card is needed to sign up and explore.
One person owns the school and invites teammates, bursar, cashier, teachers, with scoped roles. If you run several schools, your catalogues (classes, subjects, fee structures and signatories) are shared across all of them automatically, so you set them up once.
Academic years and terms
Everything is organised under an academic year with its term sessions, for example three terms. Create the year, then its sessions, and mark the final session as the promotion session, the one the year-end decision and progression to the next class rest on.
Classes and subjects
Create your classes for the year and assign each its subjects. A subject exists once per school and is shared by every class that teaches it.
For the francophone average family, each class-subject carries a coefficient that weights it in the moyenne, and each subject can split its mark into a class-work and an exam component.
Assessment systems
An assessment system sets how marks become a result. Pick the family that matches yours: aggregate (anglophone WAEC / BECE-style best-of aggregates), average (francophone moyenne on a /20 scale with coefficients), or competency (standards-based performance descriptors).
Then set the grading bands, the pass mark and the class-work / exam split. You can create a system from the wizard (Assessment, then New) in a few steps.
Enrol students
Add students to a class by hand, by bulk import, or through an online admissions link that parents fill in. Full biodata and guardians can be captured.
Each student appears per (class, session) via a roster that fills in lazily, so a mid-year session inherits the class list automatically rather than needing to be rebuilt.
Score and report cards
Enter scores per subject in a grid, or round-trip a spreadsheet, then generate report cards for the whole class in one click. You see the exact price before you pay, and re-generating a card after fixing a mark is free.
Report cards render in English or French per document, in your school's colour theme, and can be downloaded or emailed to parents.
Fees and payments
Set a fee structure per class and session; bills are raised from it, with receipts and optional online payment. Collection, aging and reconciliation tools live under Fees, and the optional Finance module posts fees to a double-entry ledger automatically.
